VENDO
Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Vendo ("Vendo", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Vendo mobile application and related services (together, the "Service"). Vendo is a marketplace that connects independent sellers/stores with shoppers. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Who We Are

Vendo is operated by [Legal entity / company name]. For any question, request, or complaint about this policy or your data, contact us at:

Email: Ahmed.almshagbeh@essetrack.com

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account & profile information

  • Name, phone number, and email address used to create and secure your account.
  • Password / authentication credentials (stored in encrypted/hashed form).
  • Profile photo, preferred language, and account type (buyer or seller).

2.2 Seller & store information

  • Store name, description, category, city/country, working hours, and contact details.
  • Product listings: titles, descriptions, prices, stock, images, and variants.
  • Social media links, ratings, and reviews associated with the store.

2.3 Location data

  • City/country you select to browse or set a store location.
  • Precise device location, only if you grant location permission — used to show nearby stores, set a store's map pin, or pre-fill a delivery address.

2.4 Photos, camera & media

  • Photos or videos you choose to capture or upload for product listings, reels, your profile, store cover images, or chat attachments.
  • Vendo only accesses the camera or photo library when you actively use a feature that requires it (e.g., adding a product photo), and only with your permission.

2.5 Orders, cart & transactions

  • Cart contents, order history, order status, and shipping/delivery address.
  • Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. Vendo does not collect or store your full card number or payment credentials — these are handled directly by the payment provider under their own privacy and security terms.

2.6 Messages & support

  • Chat messages exchanged between buyers and sellers through in-app messaging.
  • Support tickets and correspondence you send to our support team.
  • Notifications sent about orders, offers, chat, and account activity.

2.7 Favorites & activity

  • Products/stores you favorite or follow, search queries, filters, and browsing activity within the app.

2.8 Device & usage data

  • Device model, operating system, app version, language settings, and IP address.
  • Diagnostic/crash logs and general usage data used to keep the Service reliable and to improve features.
  • Local app preferences and session data stored on your device (e.g., login session, language choice) so you don't have to re-enter them each time.

5. How We Share Information

  • With the other party to a transaction: when you place an order, we share the information needed to fulfill it (e.g., your name, phone number, and shipping address) with the relevant seller; sellers' store and contact information is visible to buyers.
  • Service providers: cloud hosting, maps (Google Maps), SMS/OTP delivery, push notifications, and payment processing partners who process data on our behalf and only for the purpose of providing the Service.
  • Legal & safety: when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Vendo, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers: if Vendo is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

6. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, plus any additional period required to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize personal data that is no longer required to be kept, except data we must retain by law (e.g., transaction records).

7. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards — such as encrypted connections, access controls, and hashed credentials — to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights & Choices

  • Access & update: review and edit most of your account and store information directly in the app.
  • Delete: request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us at the email above.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age required by local law to consent to data processing (generally 13–16, depending on jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be stored and processed in a country other than the one in which you live. Where this occurs, we take steps to ensure your data continues to receive an adequate level of protection.

11. Third-Party Links & Services

The Service may link to or integrate with third-party services (e.g., maps, payment providers, social media). Those third parties have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them — we are not responsible for their practices.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective date" above, and, where appropriate, through an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
